Tralonca

Tralonca is a village with a strong personality, shaped in eagle's nest and located in the area of BOZIO at 7.5 miles from CORTE (leave CORTE by the road to BASTIA then take D41 road on your right). Its population, which counts 64 inhabitants in winter, triples in summer

At the entry of the village, you will find renovated "pagliaghji," which are stone cottage with pastorale vocation and clay roof. They testify an ancestral  breeding activity (goats and ewe) still carried on in the village. 

Tralonca

According to the legend, the old hamlet of Zuccarellu has been deserted at the tenth century because one of its inhabitant's behaviour. The legend says that because the mass started without him, he killed the village's priest in a gesture of madness. The hamlet was then invaded and destroyed by ants. Its inhabitants had to move either to Tralonca or to Sainte Lucie, where the patronym of Zuccarelli is common.

The Saint Laurent chapel is situated in the middle of the cemetery planted with cypress. Saint Laurent is the patron Saint of the village and is celebrated on August 10.
